It hurts to be Cara Delevingne.
The model-turned-actress, 23, went home with bumps and bruises more than once while filming Suicide Squad.
"I walked into my trailer, like into my trailer twice," Delevingne admitted when I caught up with her at the DC superhero movie's junket in NYC. "There had to start putting some foam things on all the trailers because I walked into it so many times."
Her costume as the supernatural witch Enchantress also left its mark.
"It was really made out of these hard bits of metal and stone and I was rolling around a lot. By the end I just had cuts all the way down," Delevingne said pointing to her butt, adding, "That costume didn't like me very much."
And then there's the pain she suffered while wiggling, twisting and writhing during Enchantress' darkest moments. "You didn't even see half of the moves," Delevingne teased. "They toned down the moves...They really did. I mean, I went into this whole like tribal dance move, just throwing my body around. I pulled my back out a lot—and then they cut it out."
Sounds like the perfect DVD extra.
Meanwhile, Will Smith told me about getting into shape to play Deadshot. "I call that man meat," he said.
The actor, who turns 48 next month, explained, "It takes 12 weeks now to do what it used to take six weeks of training to do. I'm feeling good about it. But I leave myself a little more time to get it done.'
His wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, appreciates his hard work. "She's just barely five feet and she's right around 106 pounds," the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air said. "I'm about 212 right now. She sort of likes being engulfed."
Suicide Squad is in theaters tomorrow.
