Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card lot of inappropriate Arthur memes! WGBH, the network behind your favorite childhood cartoon, is not pleased about all of them, however. Specifically, it seems they are aren't feeling the dirty ones that take it beyond a family friendly show. Even if you live under a rock, you've probably seen them, and know what we're talking about.

In a statement to the Associated Press, WGBH spokeswoman Ellen London noted that the network is  ‘‘disappointed by the few that are outside of good taste.'' She went on to say, ‘‘Our hope is that Arthur and his friends will be depicted in a way that is respectful and appropriate for all audiences, including young Arthur fans and their families.''

I mean, we get it. Some of the memes with D.W. and Arthur are highly gross and unfortunate, but the rest of them are amazing and hilarious. Especially the angry Arthur fist. The angry Arthur fist is everything.

The fact that the show is making an Internet comeback after all these years (it's been on since 1996 and is still going strong) is a pretty great dose of nostalgia for all of us '90s kids. WGBH appears to at least agree with that saying, ‘‘We certainly are lucky to have a fan base that is so engaged with Arthur, especially those millennials who grew up with him."
