"Pop-Tart appetizers to hold us over 'till the pizza comes. And one apple."

It's just one simple photo on the Gilmore Girls official Instagram account, but it's got fans eager for details about the upcoming Netflix revival losing their minds. What does it all mean?

As fans of the series remember well, an apple a day not only keeps the doctor away in Stars Hollow, but it's also a strong indicator for Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she's pregnant. In the season five episode "Blame Booze and Melville," the notoriously unhealthy character thought she might be pregnant with Luke's baby when she caught herself eating the red fruit—and enjoying it. As she revealed to Rory (Alexis Bledel), that had only happened one other time in her life: When she was pregnant with her daughter.

Lorelai wound up not being pregnant, but that bit of trivia has added a significance to the apple in Gilmore Girls lore, making the decision to include it in marketing for the revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a headscratcher. Could Lorelai be expecting this time around? Or what about Rory? Might a fourth generation Gilmore be on the way?

Of course, it also could be much ado about nothing. Fans have been quick to point out that the appetizer in the photo, and the caption to go along with it, mirrors the season one episode "Concert Interruptus." In the episode, Lorelai assembles the same plate for Rory, Paris, and their classmates Madeleine and Louise as they worked on a project for school. However, Lorelai never singled out the apple on the plate.

So, is Netflix giving us a massive hint at what's to come with the photo and caption? Or does our hunger for details about the revival have us seeing things that aren't there? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life begins streaming on Friday, Nov. 25 on Netflix.
