Time flies when you're having fun!
And it looks like actors Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have had lots of fun in their first year of marriage. From their secret wedding to their sweetest moments, in honor of their first anniversary today, let's take a look at how the couple have spent their first year as husband and wife!
The Wedding
The pair's best marriage moment was definitely their wedding! The two tied the knot in a secret private ceremony at their Bel Air home on Aug. 5, 2015. Aw, their marriage is a Leo.
Guests were under the impression they were celebrating Theroux's 44th birthday—but surprise, it was the birthday boy's wedding day instead! The star-studded guest list included Aniston's Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox, Ellen DeGenres, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Jason Bateman, Howard Stern and Jimmy Kimmel, who also officiated.
The couple's strict no-phones policy kept the evening intimate, and even Aniston's dogs played a role in the wedding!
"Married life is so normal and fun and not much different," the Cake star told Harper's Bazaar. "We felt married for so long."
In a life led largely in the spotlight, we love that Aniston and Theroux were able to have the small ceremony they'd envisioned since getting engaged in 2012.
Their Dreamy Honeymoon in Bora Bora
After the secret wedding, Aniston and Theroux jumped on a private plane and headed off on their honeymoon.
The two jetted off to French Polynesia, where they were joined by pal Bateman, his wife Amanda, their kids, and a few more of the newlyweds' A-list friends.
When They Won Halloween With the Cutest, Simplest Couple's Costume
No running theme or matchy-matchy outfits, but call it puppy love: Aniston and Theroux both wore masks, hers a scary ghost and his a dalmatian, leaving Chateau Marmont on Halloween.
Simple, but sweet (and rather spooky), the perfect pair showed their Halloween spirit in their own adorable way.
That Time They Attended a Charades Gala
Can you think of a more efficient way for actors to raise money than by playing speed charades? Neither can we.
The happy couple attended the Labyrinth Theater Company's Celebrity Charades Gala on Nov. 15 in New York City and looked as chic and sharp as ever raising funds for the arts.
When They Posted the Cutest Insta-Selfie and Showed Their Charitable Side
Looks like these two are on Santa's nice list! The couple posted a sweet skiing selfie on Theroux's Instagram account for the holidays and asked their fans to help support some of their favorite charities in the spirit of giving.
"Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!" he wrote. "If there's any Xmas cheddar leftover... A few of our favorite charities... @stjude @bestfriendsanimalsociety @austinpetsalive @animalleague @doctorswithoutborders @jimmykimmel (I keeeeed! He's doing just fine) Love Health and PEACE in 2016."
That Time They Slayed on the Red (Or in This Case, Blue) Carpet
Aniston and Theroux were the definition of Hollywood glam at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards on Jan. 17 in Los Angeles.
These two take classy to a whole new level!
When They Saw Hamilton and Gave Us Serious Broadway Envy
Theroux and Aniston were spotted arm in arm leaving the Richard Rogers Theater after seeing the smash-hit musical in February.
The two went to see the show days before Aniston's 47th birthday, apparently starting the celebration early.
It was actually her second time seeing the sold-out show, so she must have liked it enough to bring the husband along for an encore.
That Time They Went to Paris and Our Hearts Melted
A few days after Aniston's birthday, Theroux posted this gorgeous photo of his wife on Instagram from atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
These two are absolute relationship goals!
When Aniston Gave the World A Piece of Her Mind and Theroux Cheered Her On
Aniston made headlines in July for her personal essay published on Huffington Post about her experience being under constant scrutiny as a public figure, including the perennial pregnancy rumors and what she sees as the persistent objectification of women in the media.
"For the record, I am not pregnant," she wrote. "I am fed up."
While Aniston's post garnered support from numerous stars, such as Anna Paquin, Nikki Reed and Olivia Wilde, to name a few, it was her husband whose support meant the most.
He posted a photo of Aniston at a bowling alley captioned "#wcw...Here's just one reason why...#gogirl," linking to her essay.
It's clear that Theroux loves Aniston inside and out, and here's to the duo getting their well-deserved happily ever after.
Congratulations to the both on their one-year anniversary—and to further honor their big day, let's take a look at all of their cutest moments from throughout their relationship!
