BravoA funny thing happened on the way to the Shahs of Sunset season five reunion special. It turns out that pals Asa Soltan Rahmati and Mercedes "MJ" Javid are no longer.
As this sneak peek of part one of the reunion, exclusive to E! News reveals, there's some deep-seated resentment between these two ladies. But over what exactly? "MJ, unfortunately, so many of her decisions are based on jealousy. MJ is not a loyal friend," Asa explains to host Andy Cohen. "She doesn't root for me, she doesn't want me to win."
MJ's take on where their beef originated? Well, it has something to do with an appearance on a particular late-night show alongside her spitfire mother Vida. "This is the weekend on Mother's Day on Watch What Happens Live," she tells Andy. "Have you heard of the show before?"
"My favorite show," he replies.
Whatever the cause of this friendship breakdown, it's clear it won't be getting better anytime soon. "You're thin-skinned. Your skin is thin. You have no skin! We're never gonna be friends again and I don't want to," MJ shouts at her new frenemy. "I'm sorry. With all due respect, f--k you." Well, alrighty then.
Their rift isn't the only one to make its way to the reunion couches. Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi and Reza Farahan waste no time picking up right where they left their jilted relationship in the highly dramatic season finale, while Mike Shouhed is forced to confront the group when he opens up about his divorce from Jessica Parido. And when Mama Vida joins the group, well, you can expect her brutally honest opinions to create some fireworks.
