Ryan Lochte is really amping up his spirit for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The Team USA swimmer took to Instagram over the weekend to document a big change ahead of the competitive games: He dyed his hair ice blue! Lochte first tweeted, "A change could be happening today," and then took to Snapchat to show that he was at a hair salon. "In the barber chair..." he wrote, adding three monkey emojis that are covering their eyes.

Only a little while later did the gold medal winner reveal that he was dyeing his hair for a "#newlook." After the dye was rinsed off, Lochte took an official photo to share his new, ice blue hair. "New look.... Here We Go #Rio #2016 thanks @jennjonesatl #turnup #lightblue," he captioned the Instagram picture.

Lochte's colorist, Jenn Jones, also shared pictures during the Olympian's hair transformation. It turns out, however, that Lochte wasn't the only Team USA member to change his locks! Teammate Jimmy Feigen also transformed his hair into the icy blue hue, which leaves us with one question: Will Michael Phelps follow suit?

Perhaps Lochte's decision has something to do with his new efforts in the Tinder world! In a recent interview with Cosmpolitan, Lochte revealed that he's hoping to find love on the dating app. "I've been matching up with a bunch of gorgeous women who are smart, they have professional jobs and everything," he said. "I'm like, ‘Wow, this is perfect.' So I've been on Tinder lately. So far I haven't had any dates or anything. I've just been talking with a couple [women]."

Lochte will head to Rio this week ahead of Friday's Opening Ceremony. Men and women's swimming heats officially begin Saturday.
