It's easy to forget about all the silly Taylor Swift drama that's been floating around lately when you just sit back and remember how catchy her songs are! You will remember once you watch this adorable recreation of her "Shake it Off" video. The company 80 Odd Years of Happy, which appears to have put on productions like this for other senior organizations in the past, helped The Julia Wallace Retirement Village put together the video in only one week. The videos YouTube page notes that the tribute involved 50 residents, staff members and even grandchildren. Fun fact: The average age of those in the video was 82, with a combined age of over 4,000 years! Screw being a millennial, getting up there looks like a lot more fun.
The organization which helped the retirees create the video, 80 Odd Years of Happy, also helped Diana Isaac Retirement Village in Christchurch create a tribute to Pharrell's "Happy." Not to mention, they've organized flash mobs and recreated scenes from Saturday Night Fever, all with residents of various retirement complexes. If this is really what living in a retirement community is like, please, please bring us there when our time comes. This looks a lot cooler than the bingo and puzzles we've been told to expect.
