Watch: Matt Damon Takes the E!Q in 42
You can count on Matt Damon to spring into action at a moment's notice.
He had no idea, while in Las Vegas for the premiere of Jason Bourne, that he'd be recruited for the E!Q in 42—which, unlike his four Bourne movies, involves very few car chases, only a little hand-to-hand combat and not nearly as much memory loss.
But the Oscar winner, returning to theaters today as the preternaturally gifted super-secret-agent, amiably reported for duty all the same.
Chatting with E! News' Maria Menounos, Damon performed admirably under pressure, filling us in on his sleep schedule, his cooking prowess, his gambling preferences and more.

The 45-year-old star returns to his blockbuster franchise role following a nine-year gap since The Bourne Ultimatum, during which Jeremy Renner did the genetically enhanced running around in The Bourne Legacy. Damon had sworn off more of the films unless Paul Greengrass returned to direct—and that's exactly what happened here.ft;">"I don't mind being followed around by Jason Bourne. I like Jason Bourne," the actor said in a behind-the-scenes featurette released in May. "It's been a defining role in my life, so I mean I've always been incredibly grateful for giving me the part, you know, 16 years ago."
Meanwhile, we feel that if Jason Bourne were taking the E!Q, he'd have a lot in common with Matt Damon. Surely the fed-up assassin is also sleep-deprived and can totally flip a mean stack of pancakes. And we don't know about you, but we call Matt Damon "The $100 Million Weapon" around here too.
