It's a dizzying list.

By now we've all heard about the bold-faced political names that will be headed to Philadelphia for this week's Democratic National Convention. The Bernie Sanders', the Elizabeth Warrens, the, of course, Hillary Clintons. But as it turns out, there is a sizable chunk of the Hollywood contingent that's making the trek west to the city of Brotherly Love.

It may seem random. This is an event meant to not only introduce the world to the newly-formed political ticket as a whole, but also to discuss the party's platform and policies going forward. It's not exactly the type of convention where one would expect to see acting A-listers and pop stars. Comic-Con was last weekend, after all.

So this just begs for a handy little guide. After all, regardless of your political affiliation or level of I've-had-it-ness with this election season, everyone wants to watch celebrities in action!

The Political Conventions as Explained by Pop Culture

The Star: Boyz II Men
The Gig: It's a throwback performance, y'all! The reigning kings of '90s romance ballads are on hand on Monday evening to knock out some jams alongside the house band.

The Star: Demi Lovato
The Gig: The celeb took a break from her tour with Nick Jonas to take the stage and the microphone—for singing, that is. She performed her jam "Confident" at a Clinton rally this past winter, so it's not her first time dipping her toe into political performances.

The Star: Sarah Silverman
The Gig: She gets the opportunity to introduce none other than one Mr. Paul Simon. Here's hoping she sticks around for a duet.

The Star: Eva Longoria
The Gig: Consider this the awards season of politics, because Eva is on hand to introduce someone too. In her case, it's former New Jersey mayor Cory Booker.

The Star: Lady Gaga
The Gig: The "Camden Rising" concert. What the heck is that? Well, it's a special concert put on by Gaga and her pal Lenny Kravitz, that will take place just across the river from Philly (in, yes, Camden) right before Clinton formally accepts the nom.

The Star: Alicia Keys
The Gig: Plans for the singer are still under wraps, but if we had to guess we'd say it's...singing. (Gasp!)

The Star: Shailene Woodley
The Gig: Ever the fervent Bernie Sanders supporter, the Snowden actress decided to embark on a cross-country road trip all the way from California to Pennsylvania. Her goal is to raise awareness for Bernie Fever on the way to the DNC.

The Star: Chloe Grace Moretz
The Gig: The actress scored a highly sought-after speaking gig at the convention. That's right, she beat out the likes Sarah Silverman and Eva Longoria, to do way more than just introduce somebody. Will she be the Scott Baio of the DNC? That remains to be seen.

The Star(s): Lena Dunham and America Ferrera
The Gig: The self-proclaimed soul sisters will also be lending a bit of their brains to the platform. It's no secret that these two are big Hillary supporters (see: every Instagram post ever), so now they'll get to put their money where their mouths are.

The Star: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
The Gig: Okay, maybe this is the Scott Baio. Although, who ever said that former NBA stars don't have a crap ton to say about national politics? He'll use his speaking slot to prove as such.

The Star(s): The Team at Funny or Die
The Gig: They're hosting a big kickoff party on Monday, and no one is surprised.

The Star: Elizabeth Banks
The Gig: Word on the street is that she'll be, ahem, pitch perfect, while giving a speech at the big event.

The Star: Katy Perry
The Gig: Speaking, and hopefully walking out to the blazing notes of "Firework." You can even text KATYPERRY to the number 47246 to be alerted when she's on stage, because that's really what's most important this week.

The Star: Fergie
The Gig: She gets perhaps the biggest honor of all—headlining a closing concert. We can't think of a more appropriate venue for "M.I.L.F. $"
