Starbucks is pulling out all the stops to be not only the tastiest but the chicest coffee shop in your town. Gone are the drab white, black and khaki uniforms of baristas past. Starting today, Starbucks notes, staff will be able to express themselves through their clothing a little bit more than before.

Expect to see your favorite employees sporting a little gray, navy, brown and even dark denim. Patterns are allowed as well along with dresses, shorts and skirts. Does your baristas hair look like the rainbow of Starbucks secret menu drinks? No problem. As long as it's a permanent or semi-permanent hair color (for food safety purposes) they can sport it. Hats and beanies are welcomed as well, which means these stores are about to look hipster as hell. The new dress code allows baristas to be themselves while still supporting a professional look.

Starbucks seemingly tested out the change in stores like 47th & Broadway in Manhattan. Apparently, customers didn't know how to react at first and even thought something was wrong. Thankfully, they ended up approving in the end, and the rest is history.

If you're worried about how this uniform change will affect your Caramel Espresso Granita, it won't. Your treats and drinks will still taste the same; they'll just be in the presence of chicer employees. Don't worry; they'll still keep their iconic green aprons too. They'll just tie them over clothing that's already in their closet. No word on when Target employees will get to ditch those awful khaki-and-red-shirt combos, however.
