The autopsy report for Christina Grimmie has been completed.
The documents, obtained by E! News, state that the 22-year-old singer's cause of death was "gunshot wounds of head and chest" and the manner of death was a homicide. The report also reaffirms that Grimmie's brother, Marcus, who was present at the time of the shooting, was the one to identify her body.
"In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death, and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, and review of the available medical records," the conclusion of the report began to state, "it is my opinion that the death of Christina Grimmie, a 22-year-old white female witnessed to have been shot by another and subsequently transported to the hospital, is the result of a gunshot wounds of the head and chest. The manner of death is homicide."
The report continues to detail the condition Grimmie's body was in after the fatal attack, as well as physical observations, and also includes descriptions of each gun shot wound alongside illustrations to show where Grimmie was hit on her body.
In early June, Grimme was participating in a meet-and-greet with fans after a show in Orlando when she was shot by a male suspect who proceeded to shoot himself. The YouTube star was taken to a local hospital before being pronounced dead.
The former Voice contestant was laid to rest last month and a viewing was held in her honor at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel near her hometown in New Jersey. During a memorial service, her cousins, aunt and best friends stood up and shared stories about Grimmie growing up.
Her brother took the stage to thank everyone for attending and to comfort his parents during the unspeakably difficult time.
"I don't have anything to say, I don't have words still and it's a good and bad thing. All I'm going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world. Thanks mom and dad I know it's going to be really tough for us to move forward."
He continued, "All the rumors are true that when the gunman came…her arms were open. That's how she treated everyone she knew, her arms were open for them. So thanks again for coming out you guys, and I love you Christina."
