Alex Murrel, the 29-year-old former MTV teen of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, gave birth to her first child, E! News can exclusively confirm. The new mom welcomed son Levi William Johnson with husband Kyle Mark Johnson on Wednesday. The newborn weighed in at eight pounds, 10 ounces and is 21 inches long.
The past reality star has certainly celebrated some major milestones in the last few years. She co-founded her own brand management and marketing agency and became a bride in 2014 when she said "I Do" to Johnson. Now, she can happily add "mommy" to her list of roles.
"@Kylemarkjohnson and I can't wait to meet BABY J this July," she announced to fans on Instagram in early January.
In recent weeks, Murrel had been itching to finally meet her son. "Swollen head to toe and ready for baby to come," she captioned a mirror selfie showing off her fully grown belly. A month ago, Alex celebrated her pregnancy surrounded by gal pals at a wild animal-themed baby nursery designed by New Arrivals Inc. and Brittney Riane Interiors, companies which also helped her decorate her first nursery.
"Thank you for carrying our first child," husband Kyle wrote on Instagram following her shower. "So much love from all our friends and family! #feelingblessed"
Alex is certainly in good company as three of the Laguna Beach alumni, Morgan Olsen, Christina Schuller and Jessica Smith, all became moms in recent years. Olsen and Schuller both have sons and Smith has two sons and a daughter.
