Monky Business: Who Gets with Sarah Silverman?

Could Sarah Silverman's obsessed fangirl Marci Maven finally get some action on USA's Monk? We caught up with the cast at the show's recent 100th-episode celebration and unearthed a scheme to finally get that girl a booty call.

When I asked Jason Gray-Stanford, who plays ditzy detective Randy Disher, what's in store for his character as the series heads toward a conclusion, he said, "I'd like to see Randy get a real serious girlfriend, somebody cool and quirky. Actually, I want Sarah Silverman to come back. And maybe Marci's still trying to use Randy to get to Monk in some crazy fashion, but I think they hit it off."

It must be so! Disher and Marci are a dream couple! As for the possibility of a Monk-Natalie (Traylor Howard) thing, funnyguy Tony Shalhoub says, "That's really a question for the writers. I'm just a lowly actor and executive producer." Yeah, right! For reals, though: "It's not out of the question. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to preempt or predict what the writers' thoughts are. I remain an empty vessel waiting to be filled."

As for his late love, Trudy (Melora Hardin), Shalhoub says that not only will she "absolutely" be back in flashback or ghost form, but that he'd love to visit her show, The Office. "If anyone asks me, I would love to. It is NBC. Why don't you make some calls?"
