InstagramLaverne Cox is shutting down all those nose job rumors and promising her fans and followers that the Snapchat "pretty" filter is to blame.
The Orange Is the New Black star took to Instagram on Tuesday to address rumors that she had gotten plastic surgery on her nose.
"For everyone who thinks I had a nose job, the surgeon is snapchat," she wrote. "The first photo has #nofilter. The second has the #snapchat beauty filter. I try to love, embrace and accept myself everyday, filter or no filter, make up or no makeup, weave or no weave."
She continued, "Filters are fun but they are no substitute for me waking up, looking in the mirror and seeing the unfiltered me as beautiful and worthy of acceptance and love."

Kim Kardashian: The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has promised time and time again that her nose looks different from her early days in the spotlight due to contouring, and thus, she set off the massive rise in popularity for the shading technique.
"People always say I've had a nose job and they'll use before and after pictures but the after picture is really taken before. It's so funny, it just depends on how your nose is contoured," she said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in 2012.
Kylie Jenner: Since we've already discussed Kim, we might as well stay in the family! Kylie Jenner slammed rumors about a nose job (and a boob job, for that matter) during an interview with Wonderland magazine in February.
"I thought it was going to chill down when I said: 'OK, I admit it, I got my lips done, I never lied, I just wasn't telling the whole truth'," she explained to the mag. "And then people took that and were like, 'Oh well, if she got her lips done she probably got everything done.'"
She explained, "People don't realize I just turned 18, so there's no way my mom [Kris Jenner] would ever let me undergo a nose job or a boob job."
Angelina Jolie: People have compared the actress' early pictures in the industry to her pictures today, swearing she had to have her nose done (among other things). A plastic surgeon even went on record to claim he believed she did, too! However, the actress has adamantly denied ever doing anything to her face.
In 2010, she told the Daily Mail, "I haven't had anything done and I don't think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that's up to them. I'm not in somebody else's skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don't plan to do it myself."
Jennifer Lopez: The singer has been picked apart for year as people continue to disbelieve that someone could ever look as good as she does with some extra cosmetic procedures. However, J.Lo promises she's not about that life.
When Dr. Ayham Al-Ayoubi—who identifies himself as a "facial plastic and laser surgeon"— tweeted, "These before and after pics of @JLo show many signs of #plasticsurgery - naturally pretty but now looks amazing," the singer didn't back down.
"@DrAyoubi Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind. #fact," she responded.
Nicki Minaj: While she's never really addressed her butt or bosom, the female emcee promises she hasn't touched her face or nose.
"I've never had surgery on my face," she told Extra in 2013. "They'll see contour and they'll think you had surgery on your nose, no no no, look at RuPaul's Drag Race and you'll see how you can make your nose look any shape you want."
Kim Zolciak: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has never been shy about admitting to other plastic surgeries—including a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation—but she promises she's never had a nose job.
Posting a three-way split of side-profile shots of herself, 18-year-old daughter Brielle and baby girl Kaia, Zolciak insisted she's never had work done on her nose, using her adorable look-alike daughters to prove her point.
"I guess we ALL had nose jobs #GTFOH," Zolciak wrote of the image (in case you're not familiar with the hashtag, it stands for "get the f--k outta here").
Halle Berry: People have continue to compare the actress' "before and after" photos from her early years in the industry, speculating whether she got a nose job. But Berry quieted all those in question when she spoke to Yahoo! Beauty in 2015.
"When you see everybody around you doing it, you have those moments when you think, 'To stay alive in this business, do I need to do the same thing?'" she explained. "I won't lie and tell you that those things don't cross my mind, because somebody is always suggesting it to me. 'You know if you just did a little bit of this and that, lift this up, then this would be a little bit better.'"
She continued, "It's almost like crack that people are trying to push on you. That's what I feel like. I just have kept reminding myself that beauty really is as beauty does, and it is not so much about my physical self. Aging is natural, and that's going to happen to all of us. I think of those women that I thought aged so beautifully, like Lena Horn. Even how Jane Fonda is aging—I don't know what she has or hasn't done, but she looks beautiful as she's going about her way. I just want to always look like myself, even if that's an older version of myself. I think when you do too much of that cosmetic stuff, you become somebody else in a way."
