Joshua Jackson Seen for the First Time Since Breakup With Diane Kruger

Fringe alum hits the gym after 10-year relationship ends

Joshua Jackson is keeping up with his fitness after he and Diane Kruger announced their split after 10 years together.

The former Dawson's Creek star was spotted for the first time since the breakup announcement leaving the gym, where he spent about two hours working out. Before entering the gym, Joshua appeared content while on the phone. Afterwards, however, the scruffy star emerged looking sweaty with his gallon jug of water in tow. Must've been a tough workout!

Joshua and Diane announced Tuesday that they had called it quits, after the famous pair hadn't been spotted together in public in months; the two were last seen at the opening of Joshua's Broadway play in February.

Some fans began to speculate about the pair's relationship status when Diane appeared to celebrate her birthday last Friday without her main man by her side. "It's my party and I cry if I want to #happyFridayeverybodyandthankyouforallthebirthdaywishes," she wrote on Instagram. "#anewbeginning."

The couple, who began dating in 2006, got off to a bumpy start thanks to a bad first impression from The Affair actor. "He talked about himself for an hour and a half. Nonstop," she recalled to Conan O'Brien. "He leaned in for a kiss, I swear to God, at the end, I was like 'Should I slap him?'"

Although the two were together for 10 years, they never got engaged or walked down the aisle. "I can tell you why we're not married: We're not religious," he explained to Glamour in 2014. "I don't feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party. We're both children of divorce, so it's hard for me to take marriage at face value as the thing that shows you've grown up and are committed to another person."

But in March 2016, Diane admitted to The EDIT that she and Joshua had taken a large step in their relationship: moving in together. She moved in with Joshua in the Big Apple. "I just moved this week. I need to unpack and buy some house stuff, like candles and books," she explained. "[Moving here] was a major commitment. That's a big step into adulthood for me, to allow that time for someone else out of my time."
