Netflix knows what's up. As if all the new releases this month weren't cool enough (jambo, Mean Girls!), they've gone and made a new feature that will make you feel all '90s again. It's called Flixtape, and it's basically a mixtape maker for your Netflix account. Just like any other mixtape or burned CD, Netflix says your Flixtape can be centered around your mood, a theme or a message. What's the first step? Type in the vibe of your desired playlist, a genre, or even a special message to the person who'll be getting their hands on it. How romantic!

Flixtape will suggest titles for your list, and lets you edit 3 of their suggestions. Fun fact: you get to add up to 6 titles on your Flixtape. You guys. You can even customize your playlists cover art. This is serious business, people. Just for the record, we tried naming our first list "The FART Flixtape" (because we're five) annnnd it refused to put together selections for us. So, yeah. If you're trying to make a mixtape of naughty films, you might have some trouble.

The final step? "Launch your Flixtape into the world with Twitter or Facebook. You can also share it with someone special via email or text. Anyone who has the privilege of viewing your Flixtape will see your amazing title, experience your custom cover, peruse your playlist and watch the titles on Netflix (as long as they have an active account)," Netflix says. Yeah, we don't know about sharing our Flixtapes to social media anytime soon. We don't really need thousands of loved ones knowing about our problematic obsession for Ryan Gosling films. Here's hoping Flixtape can bring a little romance to the whole Netflix and chill movement, though.
