Ouch...that's going to leave a mark.

No, we're not talking about the time you're ex BFF crossed you (that's a different kind of pain). We're simply referring to a good old-fashioned sunburn. You know, the kind that happens when you unintentionally dose off at the beach, forgetting to reapply sunscreen the recommended every two hours.

If it happened to you this weekend, let's not harp on it. Regardless of how beet-red your face is or how tender to the touch it feels, you still have to be at work, wear makeup and look somewhat presentable, ASAP.

So, how do you manage? According to Ildi Pekar, facialist to supermodels like Miranda Kerr, Lindsay Ellingson and Irina Shayk, you swap your regular moisturizer for 100% raw honey. It may sound messy, but it's the best (and probably cheapest) way to rapidly reduce tightness, pain, redness and inflammation. "Honey can be used as a lotion to soothe the skin and expedite the healing process," explained the pro.

After you wash your face in the morning, apply a thick layer of raw honey as you would a mask, leaving it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off and volia! Your skin will feel calm and supple again. "It will keep your skin moisturized, which is very important in the healing process of a sunburn," she concluded.

Repeat daily, as needed.
