One special star got doused in gold slime

What's better than green slime doused on a celebrity? 

Gold slime, but of course! 

The recipient of the paragon of slime is none other than the winner of the Distinguished Legend Award—Kobe Bryant. 

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball star retired from the NBA this past April. Though heartbreaking for many of his fans, the NBA legend swapped his gold and purple Lakers jersey for what looked like a gold suit of armor. 

If you ever wondered what a shining Kobe Bryant trophy would look like, your answer is below. 

Newlywed Russell Wilson hosted the event for the second year in a row and got slimmed just three minutes into the show. How about that for a grand entrance? 

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback had many memorable moments during the show, chief among them an epic dance-off with wife Ciara. 

America's Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, got doused by a helmet full of slime standing alongside host Russell Wilson. 

Cannon put the Nick in Nickelodeon, braving the slime with a smile. 

Two (green) thumbs up for being a good sport.

Additionally, Denver Broncos star Von Miller was racing at sliming.

The linebacker was covered in the green goo while driving a four wheel bike on stage. 

We think he'd trade in running on the green football field to driving with green slime any day.
