Rihanna is "safe" following the devastating truck attack that occurred in Nice, France tonight.

Her rep reassures E! News that the singer, who is currently in France as part of her European leg of the Anti World Tour, is OK despite being in the area of the tragic incident, which has reportedly claimed the lives of at least 77 people and injured upwards of 100.

The singer was slated to perform Friday night at the Allianz Stadium in Nice, but her concert has since been canceled. Nice's former mayor and city official, Christian Estrosi, tweeted that her show, along with other social events that were planned to occur in the city tomorrow night, will no longer happen.

The rough translation of the French tweet reads: "Tomorrow the flags of the city will be at half mast. After the cancellation of the Rihanna concert, jazz festival is canceled."

According to multiple reports and eyewitness accounts, a truck drove on to the sidewalk and through a crowd of citizens who had gathered to watch fireworks in the city in celebration of Bastille Day, which is a French national holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille and the unity of the French people.

Officials believe this was a deliberate attack.
