Big surprise! The most used emoji in Tinder bio history is NOT the eggplant. In fact, it's not even close. In honor of World Emoji Day today, the dating app is sharing the most used emojis on user profiles all over the [insert globe emoji]. According to them, it seems those looking to match are more into smiling and pizza than phallic fruits and butt-shaped peaches. Clearly, this says a lot about Tinder users, like, maybe they aren't all insufferable ding-dongs who only want a free meal and a side of sexy time (although no judgment if that's what you're into). Furthermore, users appear to enjoy using the beer, wine and coffee emojis quite often. In our opinion, it looks like you and your matches might be a little tamer than one would expect on such a dating app. Maybe, just maybe, those gentle emojis mean you're looking to make some real connections? Get to know each other over some beverages? Alright maybe that's reaching a little, but let's be real. Emoji meanings run deep these days.

According to app data, there have been 11 billion matches all over the world, and 26 million users are matched every dang day. That is a lot of toilet swiping. As we were saying, emojis used on a Tinder bio can give hella clues into who you're about to meet.

True story: one time we matched with a guy who only messaged us in emojis, and when it came time for the actual date, he couldn't hold a real conversation. Honestly, why we agreed to a date with him in the first place is currently beyond us, but those were dark and desperate days. Enough about us.

The most used emojis on Tinder bios (in order from most to least popular) are the smiley face (cute or creepy?), those two 'raise the roof' hands (is that what they are?), clinking bottles of beer, pizza, the world, heart eyes, music notes, coffee, red wine, and, for unknown reasons, the red dancing woman. Some of those are pretty surprising if you ask us. Oh well! Keep doing you Tinder, and Happy World Emoji Day.
