The Walking Dead is here to remind you once again about that cliffhanger that pissed you off so much.
The AMC series released its San Diego Comic-Con art work, which it always does, and it features your favorites Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), kneeling before Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Don't fret, Lucille, the barbed wire bat, is also there.
Season six ended with Negan killing one of the people kneeling in front of him, but viewers saw the death from the character's perspective, so the identity has remained a secret.
This cliffhanger riled fans, who were already upset over The Walking Dead's fake-out regarding Glenn earlier in the season. "For some of you, that effort backfired and you're angry. And for that, I'm sorry. The only thing I can PROMISE you is that the season seven premiere is going to be awesome," Robert Kirkman, creator of the comic series and executive producer on the show, wrote in an issue of The Walking Dead comic. "And every minute of the season six finale was important and was setting something up that you probably won't see coming...Be afraid...be very afraid. And excited!"
For season seven, which returns in October, The Walking Dead has beefed up its cast of series regulars. Morgan, Tom Payne, Xander Berkley and Austin Amelio have all been added to the cast that already includes Lincoln, Reedus, Yeun, Cohah, Riggs, Gurira, Melissa McBride, Cudlitz, Lennie James, Seth Gilliam, Marquand, Austin Nichols, Alanna Masterson, Serratos, McDermitt and Martin-Green.
