You guys—it was straight bonkers.
Meeting Jacqueline Laurita and fellow newbie Dolores Catania at a speakeasy for drinks, Siggy walked in with a floral scarf wrapped around her head like she straight out of Thelma and Louise. After banging on a window for help entering the restaurant (turned out she didn't know which book on the nearby shelf was secretly her way in), she revealed what she was hiding under her strange accessory: The bandages from a recent face lift.
Yes, you read that right. Most people would probably schedule their little nip and tuck well before beginning production on a TV show, but not dear Siggy. Especially not when there's a piping hot bowl of lobster bisque to slurp through a straw while America gets their first good look at her! It was certainly an introduction for the record books. But how does it stack up to some of the other memorable first moments with other Housewives in our favorite franchise? Let's take a look.
Kenya Moore
Who could forget Kenya's first scene on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in season five? She arrived at Cynthia Bailey's burgeoning modeling agency to help judge prospective clients—and was promptly rude and downright insulting to almost everyone who walked through the door, getting off on the wrong foot with the usually even-tempered Cynthia right off the bat. Talk about a first impression.
Porsha Williams
When Porsha was introduced on RHOA just two episodes after Kenya, viewers scored themselves another whopper of a moment. The newbie invited her fellow first-timer to a fundraising event for her family's charity. She then introduced her guest to the crowd by an incorrect title (Miss America, as opposed to Miss USA, which Kenya had actually been named in 1993) and chased her out of the party and into the parking lot when Kenya took offense. The moment ignited a feud that still rages on.
Heather Dubrow
Heather's introduction to The Real Housewives of Orange County was less outrageous and more ridiculous. She met with Tamra Judge, who was still selling real estate at the time, to look at a very expensive home that she was never planning on buying because she already had a ridiculously expensive home that she wanted to show off on camera for a few seasons. It certainly felt forced but got the job done and told us the one thing we really need to know: Heather and her husband Terry are very, very rich.
Brandi Glanville
An unexpected guest at Kyle Richards' charity cocktail event in the fourth episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' second season, Brandi's presence—and her friendship with Cedric, Lisa Vanderpump's former house guest and new enemy—lead to a confrontation with LVP. We know, we know: Brandi being confrontational? Who would've thunk.
Ashley Darby
When the rest of The Real Housewives of Potomac met Ashley in the second episode of their inaugural season, she humped co-star Robyn Dixon leg. We repeat, she humped someone.
Carlton Gebbia
Carlton joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season four and immediately told everyone she was a practicing Wiccan. Enough said.
