Police are scouring Kentucky Lake in Tennessee to try to locate Jerry Greer, the 19-year-old son of country star Craig Morgan and Karen Greer.

Jerry and another man were reportedly tubing when they were thrown from the tube. The unidentified man resurfaced, but Jerry, who was wearing a life vest, did not. The family via its rep tells E! News in a statement, "Recent Dickson County High School graduate Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer, went missing yesterday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

"Recovery efforts to locate him are underway. The family is grateful for everyone's support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time."

Rob Edwards, Chief Deputy from the Humphreys County Sheriffs Office, also tells E! News that the investigation is ongoing. "Jerry and another man were on a raft being pulled by a boat. They were thrown from the raft and Jerry never resurfaced. He was wearing a life jacket at the time but went under. We are currently searching for him with several boats. We will update you once we know more," he says in the statement. "The Tennessee Wildlife Recourses Agency is conducting the investigation as to what happened that led up to these events."

Before becoming a country music star, Craig served in the U.S. Army for nearly a decade. The 51-year-old crooner has several Top 10 country hits to his name and also serves as the host of Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors on the Outdoor Channel. He and Karen have four children: a daughter, Alex, and sons Kyle, Jerry and Wyatt.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Craig and Karen's family.
