The family of Christina Grimmie is extremely grateful for the support they've received after losing their loved one.

The parents and brother of the 22-year-old singer, who was gunned down during a meet-and-greet with fans in Orlando, wrote a heartwarming message to friends and fans who have reached out to donate money for the family following her untimely death. What began as a goal of $4,000 to help pay for funeral costs through a GoFundMe page, has now reached nearly $200,000.

"The outpouring of love and generosity that has been displayed to our family throughout these last few weeks has far exceeded anything we could have ever imagined," the Grimmie family expressed through a message on the page.

"As we have always known, Christina's life was so very special, not only to us, but to everyone she touched with her joyful heart, beautiful voice and love for life and the Lord. Words cannot express what the many memorials, donations and tributes shared by Christina's fans and those in the media and entertainment industry mean to us. She will live on in our hearts forever. We will take our time in determining the best ways to honor Christina moving forward. Thank you."

The positive message comes on the heels of learning that Grimmie has been nominated for #ChoiceMusicWebStar for the Teen Choice Awards this year. A source tells E! News, "She has always wanted to win one, she has been nominated before."

During Grimmie's memorial last month, her parents Bud and Tina Grimmie spoke in front of a crowd of fans, friends and loved ones.

"I don't have too much to say," Tina began before becoming overwhelmed with emotion. "To anybody who says that I'm strong, I want you to know that I'm the weakest person here and I declare my dependence on Jesus Christ because I don't have anything else. It's just so much…"

After breaking down into tears, her husband hugged and comforted her before speaking to the audience. "I don't like being in front of crowds, but this crowd has blessed me beyond words. I want to share what I've shared with several people here and that's there's this gigantic hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away."

Christina's older brother Marcus took to the podium earlier in the service to express his gratitude to those who showed continuous support to his family during such a difficult time.

"I don't have anything to say, I don't have words still and it's a good and bad thing. All I'm going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world. Thanks mom and dad I know it's going to be really tough for us to move forward."

He added, "Thanks again for coming out you guys, and I love you Christina."
