Some bridesmaids dread putting on their matching dresses on the big wedding day, but Ciara's bridal party had nothing to worry about—the women were styled in head-to-toe custom couture thanks to designer Michael Costello.
According to an exclusive sketch obtained by E! News, Ciara's eight bridesmaids, including celebrity pals Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony and makeup artist Yolonda Frederick, were decked in elegant black gowns each subtly different from each other.
Costello told E! News, "Each dress is very unique, it's this really beautiful black stretch satin so it clings to the body really well."
The former Destiny's Child singer was outfitted in a strapless mermaid silhouette with a ruffled bust while the actress sported a halter dress with a high neckline. No matter which rendition of bespoke black each woman wore, judging from this sketch, the squad looked every bit the part as they got into formation on Ciara's big day.
Before she could say "I Do" to professional quarterback Russell Wilson at Peckforton Castle in her own custom Roberto Cavalli gown, Ciara squeezed in some quality time with her best gal pals during a ladies-only brunch Tuesday, a source confirms.
As the wedding day kicked off Wednesday, the ladies were there to fulfill all of their special bridal duties, including making the wedding prep go as smoothly as possible.
"Ciara has been getting ready all morning. She has all of her bridesmaids helping her," an insider exclusively told E! News. "It was hard for her to sleep last night. She is so nervous but so excited for today."
That preparation included turning the songstress into a stunning bride—not that it looked like a difficult transformation. Ciara stunned in her Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli gown covered in ethereal lace with Bohemian-inspired sleeves and cascading wavy hair.
Judging by the couple's first official wedding photo, the bridal look certainly suits this singer.
Congratulations to the brand new Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!
