The two are set to divorce after almost 17 years of marriage, a rep for the 42-year-old Scottish-American actor says. Kevin, who plays Owen Hunt on Grey's Anatomy, and Jane share two children, son Joseph, 16, and daughter Iona, 14.
"Kevin and Jane have jointly decided to end their marriage," the actor's rep said in a statement to E! News Saturday, speaking on behalf of the couple. "They look forward to continuing to co-parent their children, who have been their top priority, and will to continue to enjoy a close and caring relationship."
Jane recently filed papers to end their marriage, just weeks before their 17th anniversary, and is acting for joint custody of their children and spousal support. The two split last October, the outlet said.
Kevin, also known for playing Tommy in the 1996 movie Trainspotting, and his family live in Los Angeles. The actor was born in Scotland and became an American citizen last year. His wife and kids accompanied him at his swearing in ceremony in California.
