It was a sad night for fans of The Daily Show as the late-night series said goodbye to one of its own as only it knows how.

After announcing her immediate plans to leave the long-running Comedy Central show on Wednesday, Jessica Williams appeared in her final episode on Thursday night and there were more than a few tears shed by the young comedian. As host Trevor Noah pointed out the "exciting-yet-sad moment" while introducing a brief highlight reel of Williams' hilarious accomplishments during her four years on the show, Williams was visibly emotional.

But when her fellow correspondents Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj, Roy Wood, Jr., Desi Lydic and Ronny Chieng took the stage to say their farewells, they got Williams laughing again as their kind words devolved into a shouting match over who would get her office. The winner? Noah himself. After all, where's he going to keep his tanning bed?

Before saying goodbye, Williams appeared in one final field piece, focused on Bernie Sanders supporters who've decided to support "diarrhea-of-the-mouth" Republican Donald Trump over "demon" Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Williams was The Daily Show's youngest correspondent ever, joining the program at just 22. She also held the distinction of being the first black woman to appear as a correspondent on the show. The young comedian announced her plans to move on from the series in an interview with EW. "I feel so many emotions," she explained. "I feel like I'm growing up and graduating." She leaves the series with plans to develop a project of her own at the network, a still-untitled half-hour scripted series about "a politically-minded young woman who may be 'woke' but doesn't know what she's doing."

Check out Williams' farewell moment above and let us know if you're going to miss her unique voice on TDS in the comments below!
