Fox has just announced that Taylor Lautner is joining Ryan Murphy's wicked comedy-horror series for season two as one of the show's new male leads, Dr. Cassidy Cascade, a name that's so soap opera perfect we can hardly stand it.
As the series moves from its season one college campus setting to a hospital where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation, Lautner's Dr. Cascade suffers from a strange medical condition and becomes a suspect when a series of tragic events plagues the institution. Can we just say we're loving this serious injection of hot men to the show? Between Lautner and recently announced series regular John Stamos, we're ready to check in for treatment!
Lautner shared his big news on Instagram, with a caption that read, "Big news everyone!! Thrilled to be joining @screamqueensFox it's going to be such a blast playing Dr. Cassidy Cascade. The season 2 premiere is Tuesday, September 20 at 9pm on Fox!"
He and Stamos join returning star Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Glen Powell, and Niecy Nash for a season that Curtis admitted would have an even "darker" tone this time around.
"I think it'll be dark. I think it's going to be very dark," she told E! News at Fox's Upfront party in May. "It's in a hospital, [there's] a lot of darkness in hospitals—dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, a lot of blood, disinfectants."
While we all know him for his work in the Twilight film franchise, Lautner's TV credits include the UK comedy Cuckoo and and a role in the 2008 Christian Slater series My Own Worst Enemy.
