Watch: Eyewitness Recalls Christina Grimmie's Tragic Death

Christina Grimmie fans are still unable to wrap their heads around the singer's untimely death on Friday.

The Voice alum and YouTube star opened for the pop-rock group, Before You Exit, at Orlando's Plaza Live Theater. After their concert ended, they all took a moment to sign autographs within the venue when a man opened fire and shot Christina. She passed away shortly thereafter.

Now, one of Christina's fans who was in attendance at the show is opening up about the tragic events and how it was just a "normal" night for the singer.

"It really hasn't hit me yet that she's gone, but it's just really shocking and heartbreaking, to have been there especially," Julie Emmet told E! News' Ken Baker. "She's always so bubbly and energetic on stage. She loves what she does. It was just a normal night for her. I remember the last song she sang was a very upbeat song… She loves singing and performing. She was just very energetic like always."

"People that I was with—acquaintances with—they saw [the shooter]," Emmet revealed. "They were in front of him in line. One of my friends tweeted that she looked right into his eyes and smiled. She didn't know."

Christina's publicist confirmed her death on Friday in a statement to E! News.

"It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord," the statement read. "She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gun shot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning. If you'd like to give back to Christina's family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need."

In 2014, Christina participated in season six of The Voice. Her unique sound caused all four coaches to turn their chairs, but ultimately she joined Adam Levine's team and went on to the finals, finishing in third place.

"There are no words. We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice," The Voice tweeted after news of her death. "Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie."

Levine also posted a throwback photo of himself with Christina, writing, "Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie's death. Our hearts go out to her family."

Christina passed away in the hospital Friday night.
