After quite the hiatus, Barbra Streisand returned to the 70th Annual Tony Awards Sunday.

The iconic star helped close the show by presenting the final award of the night for best musical to Hamilton. The blockbuster Broadway show took home 11 awards Sunday. "Thank you, thank you. You're making me verklempt," the Funny Girl actress joked.

Like host James Corden and Lin-Manuel Miranda, Babs paid tribute to those killed in the tragic Orlando shooting over the weekend and spoke about the comfort and happiness that the theater brings to those from all different backgrounds.

"Tonight our joy is tinged with sorrow, but we're here to celebrate Broadway and the beauty that artistry can bring into this world," Streisand said. "The artists that write the plays, the composers and the lyricists who write the songs, and the actors who bring them to life. Art can entertain us and educate us, and in times like these, console us."

Streisand last appeared at the Tony Awards in 1970 when she was awarded with the Star of the Decade award. Last night Streisand wore a long black skirt with a high slit, a matching black jacket and a high-collared tan blouse with lacy sleeves and collar.

"Thank god I picked the right outfit," she joked, referring to her colonial-style ensemble.

Streisand was just one of many celebrities to turn out for the awards show. Others included Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin, Cate Blanchett, Carole King, Saoirse Ronan and Nathan Lane.
