Christina Grimmie Dead at 22: Look Back at Her 7 Best Performances on The Voice

The Voice is mourning the loss of one of its best voices.

Christina Grimmie, who came in third place in the NBC competition series' sixth season, died on Friday after being shot by a male suspect after her concert in Orlando, Fla. She was just 22 years old. 

Though Josh Kaufman was crowned the winner of her season, Christina was a standout, with many predicting she would win take home the win for her coach, Adam Levine. 

"I'm sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie," Levine captioned a throwback photo of himself with Christina. "We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."

Let's take a look back at some of Christina's most memorable performances from The Voice: 

One of the best blind auditions in the show's history, Christina performed Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," with all four coaches turning their chairs for me goosebump-inducing cover. Her eventual coach Adam Levine called her "engaging and passionate," and said she had the potential to "be a huge star." She would perform it once again during the live finals. 

In the semi-finals, Christina performed "Apologize," turning the song into a power ballad, in order to secure America's votes and continue on to the finals with the Twitter Save. 

After her standout blind audition, Christina made a big impact in her first live performance, totally making Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" her own. 

During the second live show, Christina showed off her range and ability to take risks, taking to the piano for a completely new take on Drake's hit "Hold On, We're Going Home."

Christina didn't need any backing music or band at the beginning of her take on Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love With You," which showed off her stunning vocals, once again making viewers question how she was only 20 years old with such maturity in her voice. 

Christina and Adam teamed up for a memorable duet on Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," with the young singer totally holding her own performing with the Maroon 5 frontman. 

Speaking of holding her own, Christina teamed up with Ed Sheeran on "All of the Stars," which became one of our all-time favorite contestant-celebrity duets in the show's history.
