Have you been practicing your Time Warp? Because you only have a few short months to get it right (jump to the left, step to the right, hands on hips, knees in tight, then pelvic thrust!) before Fox's Rocky Horror Picture Show remake hits the air.
In a new (way, way too brief) promo for the latest adaptation of the stage musical-turned-feature film-turned-midnight movie sensation, star Laverne Cox dons one of her many, many fierce Frank-N-Furter outfits. This one is a short, bright red wig complete with a skintight glittering bodysuit and sky-high red heels.
"Let there be lips," she proclaims in the teaser, which you can watch above.
See, told you it was short! But it does its job, considering we're now listening to a playlist of tunes from the RHPS soundtrack and desperately waiting for summer to be over so we're that much closer to getting this thing on the air. (Okay, yes, we're fully aware that it's not even technically summer yet. You're right, this might be a bit of hyperbole, but basically we're REALLY excited to see this thing.)
Joining Cox are Adam Lambert as Eddie, Victoria Justice as Janet, Reeve Carney as Riff Raff, Christina Milian as Magenta, Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Ben Vereen as Dr. Everett von Scott, Staz Nair as beautiful specimen Rocky and the original Frank, Tim Curry, as the Criminologist narrator of the whole thing.
Just a reminder: This is not a live musical, just a made-for-TV remake of the movie. Rocky Horror Picture Show will premiere in October on Fox.
