It might be Prince Philip's 95th birthday, but the royal family is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II!
The royal family, as well as many politicians and dignitaries, attended a ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral Friday to honor the Queen's 90th birthday, which was on April 21. The event kicked off England's birthday celebrations for the Queen, who wore a bright yellow outfit and matching hat. The Duke of Edinburgh was by her side, smiling at his equally glowing wife.
Prince Charles and wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, attended the ceremony. Camilla donned a pale blue overcoat and large-brimmed hat while Charles looked dapper in pinstripe suit. Of course Kate Middleton looked stunning, also wearing a light blue ensemble. The baby blue dress coat featured ornate white lace down the center, which she accessorized with a white fascinator. Prince Harry and Prince William stood by her side wearing blue suits with red ties.
Other royals and politicians at the event included Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, David Attenborough, former Prime Ministers John Major and Tony Blair.
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby led the celebration, praising the Queen for her lifelong kindness and strength. "Your Majesty, today we rejoice for the way in which God's loving care has fearfully and wonderfully sustained you—as well as Prince Philip marking his 95th birthday today," Welby said. "And we rejoice, Your Majesty, for the way in which the life God has given you in turn you have given wonderfully in service to this nation."
He continued, "You have been an instrument of God's peace, and through you God has so often turned fear into wonder—and joy."
Later in London's Guildhall, Lord Mayor of London Jeffrey Mountevans paid tribute to the Queen's "unfailing service" to the country. "We owe an immense debt of gratitude to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh," he said. "For unfailing service. For sincere and steadfast support. And may I thank all members of the Royal Family for sensitive engagement with issues of importance—whether the smallest local need or greatest global challenge."
