It's every woman for themselves when Sisterhood of Hip Hop returns for season three next month.
Hip hop icon MC Lyte is getting the drama started when she offers veterans Siya, Brianna Perry, and Diamond, along with new femcees on the block Audra the Rapper and Lee Mazin, an opportunity to compete for a verse on her highly-anticipated new track, but, as seen in this exclusive first look at the new season, the chance of a lifetime just may tear this sisterhood apart. That is, if their various other issues don't derail them first.
This season, Siya finds herself eager to put out a new record of her own after being featured on Tank's latest hit, but legal issues from her past threaten everything. Brianna begins to feel the pressure when her fans and her "mom-ager" Kiki begin to demand new music. Meanwhile, between her boyfriend and label heads, Diamond struggles with relationships on all fronts, while trying to launch her new clothing line, Diamond Carpentero.
Now, about those new faces. Philadelphia native and local rapper, Lee is brimming with talent and is on a quest for national domination. Meanwhile, Audra is facing a constant battle between being a fiercely independent artist and working alongside a management team with whom she does not see eye-to-eye.
Look out for hip hop legends Irv Gotti, Tank, Trina, YoYo, Jazze Pha to stop by to offer the women support, guidance, and a little tough love.
Who will win the feature with MC Lyte? And who will still be feeling the sisterhood when the dust settles? You'll just have to tune in to find out.
Sisterhood of Hip Hop returns for season three on Tuesday, July 12 at 9 p.m. on Oxygen.
(E! and Oxygen are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
