Paula Abdul experienced what many would consider a nightmare: She was vomited on while judging So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.
Chi Tahani, 12, danced to Beyoncé's "Countdown" for Abdul, Jason Derulo and Nigel Lythgoe, and it was quite a dance. She received a pass to the next round and hugs from the judges, but that's when things turned, well, pukey.
"I'm so proud of you," Abdul said to the young contestant as a shocked look overtook Tahani's face. "Are you OK?" And then the vomit came.
"It's OK honey," Abdul said. "It's OK."
An embarrassed Tahani profusely apologized to the "Straight Up" singer.
"I've never had anyone just vomit on me like that," Abdul said to the crowd.
Tahani wasn't fazed, she ran out of the theater screaming. Host Cat Deeley caught up with the contestant who explained Abdul just hugged her too tight and "all the happiness came out on her jacket," she said with a laugh.
There's a first time for everything, even getting puked on on national TV.
So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation airs Mondays, 8 p.m. on Fox.
