Watch: Constance Zimmer Teases "Demented" Season 2 of "UnReal"

Worried that UnREAL, Lifetime's terrifying (though fictional) behind-the-scenes glimpse at a reality dating competition, might lose a little of its edge in season two?

Don't be. Star Constance Zimmer, who plays ruthless TV producer Quinn, promises the show will be as gritty as ever as it explores another season of faux reality hit Everlasting.

"We're not going to try and top it," Zimmer tells E! News of what the show has in store for the second season (someone died in season one, remember). "What we want to do is we just want to still create the same good, solid, crazy, dark, demented show again."

That goes for everything in front of and behind the Everlasting cameras. "The people behind the scenes are even worse than they were before because they also feel this pressure of, 'Come on, last season somebody died and we had incredible ratings,'" Zimmer explains.

Season two will see both Quinn and Rachel (Shiri Appleby) promoted to higher-up positions in the Everlasting chain of command—which will not sit well for Quinn's sometime-lover, sometime-nemesis Chet (Craig Bierko). The duo are "completely at odds," Zimmer says, and there's no hope for a reconciliation (at least early on). "I am not happy with him at all. He doesn't deserve Quinn right now."

Quinn quickly proved herself as one of the most powerful characters on television, and Zimmer thinks it's because Quinn has no qualms about saying whatever passes through her head.

"She's crazy and she doesn't care. She has no filter and I think any character that has no filter is so appreciated by an audience because she's kind of that inner voice we all wish we could say," Zimmer says, adding, "I think it just makes her this incredible voice for women, saying, 'It's okay. Don't be afraid. Be strong and own it and it's alright.'"

UnREAL season two premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
