Just listen to "All Too Well" off her Red album and try to tell us it's not one of the most heartbreaking tunes of all time

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris ended their relationship recently, which is sad but also just the nature of dating in your ‘20s. If we had a dollar for every time we had to listen to our friends cry over breakups and bad dates and painful unrequited love, we'd probably have enough money to buy them all therapy sessions.

Or they can just throw on a Taylor Swift album, which is just as cathartic and healing as an actual therapist. Because let's face facts…no one writes a breakup song quite like T.Swift.

Whether you're crying over the loss of a true love or pissed off that the douche cheated on you, Taylor has got you covered. If you need a breakup playlist to get you through your own breakup or through Taylor and Calvin's breakup (c'mon, we're all sad about that), here's our favorite tunes from her heartbreak repertoire:

1. "All Too Well"  Red

There are few songs that can pinpoint the pain of a love gone south more than this standout from Taylor's Red album. When she performed this song at the Grammys in 2014, we're pretty sure the song's alleged inspiration, Jake Gyllenhaal, could feel her emotion through the TV.
Choice Lyrics: "You call me up again just to break me like a promise/ so casually cruel in the name of being honest"

2. "Picture To Burn"  Taylor Swift

Because we've all wanted to set fire to something after a bad breakup.
Choice Lyrics: "So watch me strike a match on all my wasted time/ as far as I'm concerned you're just another picture to burn"

3. "The Way I Loved You" – Fearless

For those times you actually miss your ex because your new significant other has the personality of an avocado.
Choice Lyrics: "He can't see the smile I'm faking, and my heart's not breaking cause I'm not feeling anything at all/ and you were wild and crazy, just so frustrating, intoxicating"

4. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" – Red

Like, ever.
Choice Lyrics: "I'm really gonna miss you picking fights, and me falling for it screaming that I'm right/ and you would hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine"

5. "White Horse"  Fearless

When you're young, you think falling in love is like a fairytale. And then you realize that the steed your "prince" rode in on can crap on everything.
Choice Lyrics: "'Cause I'm not your princess, this ain't a fairytale/ I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well/ this is a big world, that was a small town/ they're in my rear view mirror disappearing now"

6. "Cold As You"  Taylor Swift

To be listened to when your former boo turns out to be a cold stone killer (of happiness).
Choice Lyrics: "And you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you"

7. "Last Kiss"  Speak Now

You think Taylor's first song about her breakup with Joe Jonas was good? Forget "Forever and Always," because this song is how Taylor truly put that relationship in its grave.
Choice Lyrics: "I don't know how to be something you miss/ never thought we'd have a last kiss, never imagined we'd end like this"

8. "Wildest Dreams" – 1989

This one is more wistful and less gut wrenching, but it's still a beautiful goodbye song nonetheless.
Choice Lyrics: "You see me in hindsight tangled up with you all night, burning it down/ someday when you leave me I bet these memories follow you around"

9. "You're Not Sorry"  Fearless

Because you know that dude is not sorry.
Choice Lyrics: "Could've loved you all my life if you hadn't left me waiting in the cold/ And you got your share of secrets and I'm tired of being last to know"

10. "I Almost Do" – Red

Don't call or text or tweet or email that person. Just listen to this tune and stay strong.
Choice Lyrics: "I bet it never ever occurred to you that I can't say 'hello' to you, and risk another goodbye"

11. "Clean" – 1989

(Note: We couldn't find an acceptable version of Taylor singing "Clean," so please enjoy Ingrid Michaelson's incredible cover of the song.

This song is for that special time when you're finally moving on and you realize you're much better off without that person in your life. And also for that time when you finally shower after laying in bed with pizza boxes for three days straight post-breakup.
Choice Lyrics: "Hung my head as I lost the war, and the sky turned black like a perfect storm/ Rain came pouring down, when I was drowning that's when I could finally breathe"

12. "The Moment I Knew" – Red

This was a bonus track on Taylor's fourth album, so we hope you've had a chance to listen to it. If not, it's perfect for when you want to reminisce about the exact moment you knew your relationship was over. Perhaps it was that night he/she tried to tell you that shipping Brienne and Tormund on Game of Thrones was "stupid?" That's a deal breaker.
Choice Lyrics: "And what do you do when the one who means the most to you, is the one who didn't show/ You should've been here and I would've been so happy"

13. "Dear John" – Speak Now

If you were looking for the reported subject of this song, John Mayer, after it came out, he was probably in the burn unit. This song is scorching in the best way possible.
Choice Lyrics: "But I took your matches before fire could catch me/ so don't look now, I'm shining like fireworks over your sad empty town"
