Amber Heard has documented three past instances of abuse allegedly at the hands of her ex, Johnny Depp, in court papers filed today in an effort to obtain a restraining order against the actor.

And while the notoriously private couple has done their best to keep the details of their relationship as out of the public eye as possible over the course of their five years together, Amber's declaration gives some insight into the dynamic between the two stars.

Amber alleges that Johnny "has a short fuse" and that "his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me."

The 30-year-old recalls that there "have been several prior incidents of domestic violence with Johnny. In particular there was one severe incident in December 2015 where I truly feared that my life was in danger." No further details regarding that incident were documented.

Per the court documents, Amber also notes that she and Depp got "into a bad argument" following her birthday on April 21.

She alleges that he threw a "magnum size bottle of champagne at the wall and a wine glass" on her and the floor.

"Johnny then grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me onto the bed, blocking the bedroom door. He then grabbed me by the hair and violently shoved me to the floor." She adds that the next time she saw him was one month later, last Saturday, where the most recent incident took place.

Hours after the court hearing took place in Los Angeles, Johnny was almost halfway across the globe in Lisbon for the Rock in Rio music festival with his band, The Hollywood Vampires.

Yesterday, he released the following statement in the wake of ongoing speculation surrounding the cause of his divorce:

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

The actor has yet to address the latest allegations made against him.
