Watch: Fifth Harmony Ladies Reveal They're 1D Fangirls and More!

Join the club, ladies.

Before she and the rest of Fifth Harmony famously sang about the perks of working from home, one of the group's members admits she was busy obsessing over another handful of crooners—One Direction.

"I was like deep in the One Direction fandom," Camila Cabello told E's Sibley Scoles. While those days of Twitter obsessing are history, we can already hear the melody of a magical duet between the two groups.

That kind of honesty and authenticity are undeniable factors in their increasing success and wide-ranging appeal. With their second studio album 7/27 on stands now and a tour beginning in late June, the former fangirls are on their own steady rise to the top of the charts.

As alums of the second season of The X Factor in America, the women have used every opportunity they have faced since 2012 as the building blocks to their bold dreams.

"It has been an incredible journey, and it'll continue as long as it can," member Lauren Jauregui previously told Billboard. "But this will be that chapter that got us wherever we needed to go. We're learning the business, meeting people we need to know, getting knowledgeable about our craft. This is basically us being in college for our majors."
