Johnny Depp has for years often acted, well, weird.

And not just on the big screen. In addition to his many memorable and strange roles in Tim Burton movies such as Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as films such as Disney's The Lone Ranger and the new Alice Through the Looking Glass, the Oscar-nominated actor has exhibited peculiar behavior many times in interviews and other public appearances.

In fact, many find that the popular star is a treat to watch at all given times, because you never know what he'll do next.

For example...remember...

1. The time he gave a sex education refresher to E! News: At the recent Los Angeles premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass, Catt Sadler asked the star about finding the time to "make babies" when he is so busy working and traveling.

"How do you make babies? Well it is the 21st century, and there are all kinds of strange digital...I don't know," he said, laughing. "I think at this point babies are still made the same way—with the stork and all that, so we'll just wait for the stork."

2. The time he and Amber Heard made a bizarre video apology for bringing their dogs to Australia: The couple recently made headlines when it was revealed the actor's wife had filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage. But the two also drew press attention, and also caused an international incident, last year when they flew to Australia, where Depp was to film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

They had brought with them their two Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, but did not put the dogs through proper quarantine procedures. Heard was charged with illegal importation and producing a false document and faced a maximum sentence of 11 years in jail if convicted. She pleaded guilty to falsifying travel documents to sneak in the dogs and was given a good behavior bond.

Under the teams of the deal, she and Depp recorded an apology to Australia. Their video was super awkward, with both actors reading a script while stone-faced and Depp acting particularly leaden.

3. The times he joked about killing the dogs and also threatened violence: Months after the debacle, Depp joked to reporters at the 2015 Venice Film Festival, "I killed my dogs and ate them under direct orders from some kind of, I don't know, sweaty, big-gutted man from Australia."

After he, Heard and their dogs landed in Australia, the country's agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce had threatened to have the pets euthanized unless Depp had them flown out of the country within 50 hours.

The actor also talked about the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

"They threatened to put her in jail, isn't that true?" Jimmy Kimmel asked Depp.

"If they did that, I'd just fly to Australia and assault that man," Depp joked. "So that I could go to jail."

Depp also later mocked the clip himself and joked, "I tried to kill them after Australia."

When asked on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in a recent interview if he watched the video before releasing it, Depp said, "No because I didn't want to kill myself."

4. The times he & Jimmy Kimmel kissed: Speaking of the talk show host, he and Depp are involved in a super-hot bromance—the two have kissed lips multiple times on his show!

In a recent appearance, he even smooched Kimmel right next to fellow guest Pink, who was freaking out after being surprised by him, as he is one of her celebrity crushes.

5. The time he wore Heard's engagement ring: In 2014, months after Depp and the actress got engaged, the actor wore the ring he gave her when he popped the question, calling it a "chick's ring."

"I have a female engagement ring," Depp said on The Late Show With David Letterman. "It was too big for my girl...she has the other one that fits."

6. The time he stole the show at the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards...by barely speaking: During an event for Shep Gordon's Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon documentary, Depp wobbled up to the microphone and exclaimed how weird it looked, made it clear he was unable to stand up straight, continuously slurred words and appeared to go off whatever was displayed the teleprompter. He also unleashed a slew of expletives, then laughed.

7. Can we talk about Depp's accent? The actor, a native of Kentucky, has often raised eyebrows over the way he's sounded for years.

Depp's accent appears to change throughout an interview on NBC's Today show last year, during which he promoted his movie Black Mass, in which he plays gangster Whitey Bulger.

Depp talks about how he gets lost in his roles.

"The last thing I want to look like is myself," he said. "I've always felt that it was important to escape. I always figured that if I just did the same thing over and over, I'd not only bore the audience but I'd bore the audience."
