Beyoncé Throws Lemonade in Jay Z's Face in a Fiercely Fashionable Way

The songstress isn't about to let her marital woes be forgotten

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade—and then wear it from head to toe. 

Never the queen of subtlety, Beyoncé hit the streets of the Big Apple Thursday night to see and be seen. Clad in a white jacket, blouse and bright canary yellow pants, the songstress appeared to pay tribute to her latest controversial masterpiece, Lemonade, in signature style.

According to an eyewitness, the songstress and husband Jay Z walked through midtown Manhattan "without a care in the world."

However, Bey's outfit was a vibrant reminder that the two have had more than a few cares as of late, particularly when it comes to their marriage. As is common knowledge by now, her sixth album accused Jay Z of being unfaithful at points in their eight years as husband and wife. 

Lyrics like "If you try this sh-t again you're gonna lose your wife" immediately triggered an uproar on social media. What had Jay Z done? Who was "Becky with the good hair?" Why are they still married?

While those questions still linger in the industry air, Beyoncé has opened a Pandora's box that she doesn't seem in any hurry to close. If the colorful pants weren't enough of an indication, take a gander at the star's cell phone case. Behold—a plump whole lemon. 

As if there wasn't already enough symbolism to ponder, just a few inches over Bey's signature IV tattoo, which the songstress often sports in lieu of a wedding band, is clearly imprinted on her ring finger.  

Though Jay hasn't unveiled any of his own fashionable nods to the album, he has responded in rhyme. "You know you made it when the fact/ Your marriage made it is worth millions," he rapped on the track "All the Way Up." "Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is / Survival of the littlest."

Just like that, the lemonade continues to sourly swirl.
