Still freaking out about the fate of Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) in that cliffhanger of a Nashville series finale?

You're not alone. We asked you how you felt about the episode, cliffhanger ending and all, and nearly half of you were not too happy about it. While 50.9 percent of those polled loved how the series wrapped up, 49.1 percent hated it.

That extremely mixed review lands squarely in the bottom quarter of our ranking of the best and worst TV series finales of all time, sandwiched between The Shield and 24.

It's not quite the bomb (er, slap) that was The Good Wife finale—it's still not a very good showing for a fan-favorite series.

An alternate ending to the series was reportedly filmed, which saw Juliette and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) reunite instead of Avery learning that Juliette's plane was lost, but according to TVLine the happily ever after was scrapped in the hopes that another platform would pick up the series and resolve the cliffhanger.

Lionsgate TV, the studio behind Nashville, tweeted after the finale, "#Nashies What a cliffhanger! But we won't leave you hanging. There's more story to be told. #BringBackNashville," though no new home has been announced.

Alas, we'll never know whether a less uncertain ending would've ranked the show higher on our list, but you can check out where the finale (as aired) ranks in our list of the best and worst TV finales of all time!
