It looks like Seth Rogen will just have to wait for his chance to be king of the jungle.

In James Corden's newest installment of Crosswalk the Musical, the late night host and his team of singing and dancing pros geared up to take on the Disney classic, The Lion King, armed with two of Hollywood's most acclaimed stars—Rose Byrne and Rogen.

However, it was clear from the start that the Knocked Up actor was less than thrilled about the eccentric project, which requires the cast to perform the show on a crosswalk while the traffic lights are red.

"Somebody's going to get killed doing this and then they'll be like, 'Why did we do that?'" Rogen judged with a sour disposition.

However, his Neighbors 2 co-star was entirely thrilled to make her return to the stage—er—sidewalk.

"Theater is my passion. That's where my career began. It's my heart and soul," Byrne revealed.

That enthusiasm visibly translated in rehearsals, so much so that Corden gifted Byrne with two roles—Timon and Nala. As for her silver screen partner, Rogen was granted the esteemed title of...scenery. "Trees, birds, rocks, stuff like that," the host described.

"I think this guy has some sort of vendetta against me, honestly. I don't why," Rogen later said into the camera. "I've never met him before, I don't think. I would just leave, but I don't want to bail on Rose and I'm honestly afraid to leave her alone with him."

So, like a trooper, he carried on with the show, which Byrne immediately found dangerously thrilling.

"What's scarier—Broadway or the crosswalk? The crosswalk," she said. "I mean the stakes are higher—the thrill of live theater and the thrill of death."

While Corden ultimately popped champagne in honor of Rogen's moon impression, the actor remained completely unamused.

"Did I enjoy it more than I thought I was going to?" he questioned at the finale. "No."
