Is This Outlander's Happiest Scene All Season? Get a Sneak Peek at Claire and Jamie Back in Scotland

Exclusive! Claire and Jamie are happier than ever, all because of potatoes

Could it be that a few moments of happiness are coming to Outlander this weekend?

After last week's positively devastating episode, in which Claire suffered a miscarriage, Outlander is in dire need of a pick-me-up, and it looks like it's coming in the form of potatoes.

In this week's episode, Claire (Caitriona Balfe), Jamie (Sam Heughan), Fergus (Romann Berrux), and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) head back to Jamie's childhood home in Scotland, where Claire uses her knowledge of the future to try and prepare the Fraser clan for the rough years to come in the wake of the disastrous Jacobite rebellions. With Claire's guidance, Jamie's sister Jenny (Laura Donnelly), her husband Ian (Steven Cree), and the farmers of Lallybroch learn how to plant potatoes.

In our exclusive sneak peek of the episode, Jenny has absolutely no idea what to do with a potato, so Claire and Fergus explain the wonders of the versatile food. While that may not sound like boundless joy, the scene features Claire and Jamie happier than we've seen them in a long time, and it's just lovely to watch.

Of course, that happiness may not last all that long due to the impending, unavoidable battle at Culloden, but for now, let's just bask in this potato feast and the always welcome sight of Jamie's knee, which you can see in the exclusive clip and photo above.

Now if you'll excuse us, we're starving after all this talk of potatoes, so we've got some mashing to do!

Outlander airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on Starz.
