Ginger Zee didn't let a little back spasm and pelvic injury rain on her Dancing With the Stars parade. The Good Morning America meteorologist told E! News she is "feeling a lot better" after suffering a pelvis injury that almost took her out of the competition for the mirror ball trophy.

"I'm definitely sore, but I can handle sore. Sore is OK, spasms, not so OK. I'm very happy we made it through," she told E! News' Erin Lim backstage after part one of the DWTS finale.

Zee and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy received a 28 out of 30 on their contemporary dance to Coldplay's "Adventure of a Lifetime" and a perfect 30 for their freestyle to "Orange Colored Sky" by Nat King Cole. There were nerves, of course, especially after the last week of rehearsals was interrupted by her injury.

"The worst day was Thursday. It was just tough because confidence for me comes from repetition and we weren't able to do that. I haven't done my whole routine through until today, that was a little nerve-wracking," she said.

Zee is in the finals with fighter Paige VanZant and model Nyle DiMarco. "I couldn't have forecasted it. That's a play on words," she said. "I feel more honored than ever that I even actually made it to this place and I have to say thank you to all the fans because they're a big part of why I'm here."

Dancing With the Stars season 22 concludes on Tuesday, May 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
