Caution! The following article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of The Flash, "Invincible." Proceed at your own risk!

RIP Henry Allen.

We should have known his death was coming after he and Barry shared such beautiful moments together in the past few episodes (which is how TV shows foreshadow deaths), but we didn't, and we weren't ready for it.

With Zoom's encouragement, a whole army of metas took over Central City, including Black Siren (Katie Cassidy), Laurel's evil doppelganger. Cisco and Caitlin dressed up as their evil selves, Reverb and Killer Frost, to try and get her to trust them, but she saw through the ruse, and the gang back at the lab was forced to use a high pitched frequency to disable anyone from Earth-2. Zoom escaped, of course, but most other metas were captured, and the day seemed saved.

Everyone gathered back at Joe's house to celebrate both a job well done and Henry's homecoming. Right after Barry and Iris decided to give their relationship a chance, Cisco had a vision of Earth-2 splitting right in half, and then Zoom showed up.

He grabbed Henry, had Barry chase him to Barry's childhood home, and Zoom murdered Henry right there in the same dining room where Barry's mother died. It was awful. Once again, we had to watch John Wesley Shipp die, but at least he wasn't reaching for ice cream this time. (Where all my Dawson's Creek fans at?!)

Henry made it all the worse by using his last few moments to tell Barry how much he loved him, even if he could barely be heard over Zoom being an asshole.

"Whatever happens, you have made me the happiest father," Henry said, right before Zoom punched right through both Henry's heart and our hearts.

Ugh. This sucks.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
