Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Still!
Today marks a very special day in the couple's lives, as NFL star Devon Still married his longtime love, Asha Joyce, in a romantic ceremony at the historic New York Public Library in New York City.
The Knot played a huge part in the swanky black tie affair, which was attended by close family and friends as well as livestreamed on Facebook for fans around the world to see.
"You are not only the love of my life, but you are my best friend," Asha told Devon in her vows. Meanwhile, while fighting back tears, he shared, "I promise to be by your side through every step of the way."
The couple's wedding was selected by The Knot as the recipients of this year's Dream Wedding, meaning that the wedding-planning site not only helped the two plan their big day, but they also had fans vote on many details of the evening from the dress to the menu.
Asha stunned in a Pnina Tornai wedding gown and Simon G jewelry while her groom looked as dapper as ever in a perfectly tailored Martin Greenfield Heritage tuxedo. David Beahm designed the floral arrangements while Francesca Events did the wedding planning.
And, as one would expect, Devon's daughter Leah Still had a very memorable role in the couples' nuptials this evening.
The six-year-old was the flower girl for the emotional ceremony and without a doubt stole the spotlight throughout the evening. After making her entrance, Leah walked up to her father and he bent down to kiss her on the cheek several times. Leah was also called up during the ceremony by her dad, and held both the bride and groom's hands throughout their vows.
After the two officially became husband and wife, the crowd cheered as Jackie Wilson's famous hit, "Higher and Higher" played in the background.
Earlier in today, the groom posted a shot on Instagram from behind-the-scenes while getting ready with his groomsmen and wrote, "Nothing can take the joy out of this moment when you been through hell and back to make it here #stillinlove2016."
Less than two years ago, Devon shared to the world that his daughter was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma.
"When we first got engaged, we didn't jump right into planning because Leah was our number-one priority," the athlete told People. "It was all about her getting better."
Now with Leah on the mend, Devon explained to the magazine that he's overjoyed by this new phase in this life.
"Having Asha by my side has definitely made it easier to travel down this path. Overcoming the things we've overcome…I'm just looking forward to what the future holds for us. We'll make it through whatever is thrown our way."
With the help of The Knot, the Stills' wedding day helped to raise money for other families dealing with pediatric cancers by setting up a charity registry in their honor.
