Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett wants to fix her broken family.
In an exclusive sneak peek from Friday's episode of WEtv's Kendra on Top, Wilkinson-Baskett and her brother, Colin Wilkinson, visit their late grandmother Mary Stotz's house to pick up some belongings. While leafing through one of their childhood photo albums, Kendra—who's estranged from her mother, Patti Wilkinson—asks Colin if he's considered reaching out and "talking" to his estranged father, Eric Wilkinson. "No," he says bluntly. "There's no interest."
Ironically, Kendra and Colin only recently reconciled after a two-year estrangement, due to his close relationship with their mother. Kendra and their father, meanwhile, made peace in 2014. "Do you wonder how our relationship is—mine and his?" she asks her brother. Colin confesses he does, but adds, "At the same time I just think, you know, that's your relationship with him."
Colin doesn't think he'll regret his decision. "I've heard a bunch of things say, 'Well, this is your blood and family,' and I'm like, 'That's not,'" he says. "The damage has been done.'" Kendra suggests that he try looking at it from a different perspective. "He can never replace the times that we didn't have," she says. "The feeling of having him back as more of a friend rather than feel it being a father. Because being a father is, I think, what we needed at that young age."
In a confessional, Kendra explains that she and Colin have "very different memories" of Eric. While hers are "very clear," she says, "My brother doesn't really have those. I don't want to push my dad on him, but I want him just to know how it feels to have our dad back in my life."
