When it comes to getting dressed in Hollywood, Elizabeth Olsen has some reservations.
Sure, she's an acclaimed actress with five full years in the film industry, but even the 27-year-old eldest Olsen sister feels self conscious when it comes to the Hollywood sizing system.
"The clothes we're expected to fit into aren't sizes; they're samples. They're not made for chicks with boobs, so I'm very self-conscious about having them," she said in the June issue of Allure.
Coined a "chill" actress by the magazine, Olsen is averse to the flipside of fame, including the consistent physical criticism and unrelenting lack of privacy—and she's not afraid to be frank about it.
"I have fun choosing an outfit for my best friend's wedding, but not [something] I'm going to be judged in," she explained.
To escape the attention, Olsen has a simple strategy: avoid it.
"I won't go to certain restaurants because I don't want to be photographed."
As for social media, not only does she not participate, but Olsen can't wrap her head around anyone who has made a name for themselves through it.
"Being a celebrity for not doing anything, I don't understand that," she admitted.
If it's not clear by now, the actress confidently moves to the beat of her own drum no matter the circumstance.
"The way I've always functioned is that I don't listen to noise. It's a defense mechanism," she said. "All of my friends' families [worked in Hollywood growing up], and I didn't want to give it weight."
Fortunately, if you're ever at a party and need to find her, look no further than the nearest secluded area.
"I'll find a sofa in the corner, and I park myself," Olsen admitted. "I'm allergic to small talk."
