The following article contains spoilers for the Once Upon a Time episode, "Last Rites." Proceed with caution!

"Regina, you are my future."

It was at that moment, just before a passionate kiss was shared, that we knew for sure Robin Hood was not long for this world. You can't utter a phrase like that and expect to live much longer on a TV drama, and Robin sure did not live much longer.

He died in the fight against Hades when he stood in front of Regina to save her from being stabbed by Hades' fancy magic crystal (which was kind of him to do, even though Regina had mistakenly believed she could trust Zelena with the baby). Regina was about to meet the same fate at the hands of Zelena, with Hades encouraging her, but instead, Zelena turned and stabbed Hades right back.

Robin simply collapsed on the floor and then his soul floated up into the heavens, but Hades had to be typically hades and explode dramatically into a pile of dust.

For a second, it seemed like those were not going to be the episode's only deaths. Right after Hades finally died (with help from pages Hook managed to add to the storybook), he had the chance to move on from the underworld. He met up with Zeus, who told him he was about to go where he was supposed to be, and he walked into the light while we prepared to walk off of a ledge (of feelings) if we had to go on without Hook in our life.

Cut to Emma, sobbing over Killian's grave. In lieu of flowers, she placed a flask on top of the dirt, which was really just the last straw on our tear ducts.

Emma then rejoined the rest of the funeral, which was actually for Robin. One by one, everyone placed arrows on his casket, and Zelena revealed that the only name she could think of for their daughter was Robin.

Eventually, only Emma was left at the cemetery, and then poof! Hook appeared behind her, and they engaged in the cutest smattering of kisses and nonsensical explanations we've ever heard. Zeus awarded him for killing Hades with bringing him back to life, or whatever. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that he's finally alive, and Hades is dead, and things are OK-ish.

Of course, things are not OK-ish for Regina, who has now lost the love of her life, and for Zelena, who lost the father of her child, and for the rest of the world, because now Rumple has part of that magic crystal and Rumple in possession of any magic is pretty much never ever good.

Once Upon a Time's two-hour finale airs next Sunday at 7 p.m. on ABC.
